Obituary Brendan Joseph Quigley
July 22, 1950 - April 9, 2021
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Brendan Joseph Quigley on April 9, 2021. Brendan is dearly loved and forever in our hearts as a loving husband and best friend to Karen, and a devoted Dad to Joseph, Ashley, Brett and Jennifer. He will be profoundly missed.
His brother Jerry, brother-in-law’s Jimmy and Rick, sister-in-law’s Rita and Sandy, daughter-in-law’s Courtnee and Kari, son-in-law’s Juna and Jeff, numerous nieces and nephews, and a wonderful group of close friends also loved him immensely. Brendan is reunited with his brother Chris, his sisters Irene and Ann, and his parents Teresa and Gerald in a better place.
Brendan was a police officer with the Calgary Police Service for 25 years, proudly served as Treasurer and President of the Calgary Police Association, and then enjoyed a second career in the trucking industry before he retired to spend more time with Karen and his kids.
Brendan will be most remembered for his devotion to family, love of a good yarn and a great joke, his quick wit, warm friendship, generosity, strong work ethic, master craftsmanship, life advice and seemingly endless know-how.
He loved Chicken on the Way and Chinese food, sneaking dogs treats under the table, cuddling cats, watching James Bond movies, listening to music - especially Andrea Bocelli, masterfully applying a fresh coat of paint, pouring a round for friends and family, telling a story, sharing a laugh and settling down with a brandy at the end of the night.
