Passing of Donald Jack Lyman (Don)
February 13, 1931 - May 17, 2020

You are loved forever.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Don Lyman in Calgary.
Beloved husband of Grace, his wife of 67 years. He was extremely proud of his family. Father to daughters Debra (Mike) Meagher and Pamela (Earl) Lacey. Grandpa/Pa to Kristinn (Steve) Hicks, Sarah (Mark) Bromley, Jason (Leigh) Lacey and Ryan (Allison) Lacey. Great-Grandpa to Madeline, Riley, Macklin, Elliott, Tate, Harrison, Lennon, Montgomery and Baby girl due in September.

Don was a loyal Calgary Flames and Stampeder fan. He was known as a hard worker, a loyal friend, a man who could find a good deal and he had a way of being able to put a smile on someone's face. Don started his career as a police officer with the Forest Lawn force. He then joined the Calgary Police Service. He was very involved with the original Calgary Safety Round-Up Band. He completed his work career when he retired from the Calgary By-Law Division.

Don's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Auburn Heights Retirement Residence, Dr. A.J. Gopie, Kalyen Cote and the compassionate We Care Team for the dedicated, loving care they all gave Don. He truly appreciated and loved all of the caregivers and staff at his home.

At Don's request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers please, if you like, make a donation to the Calgary Humane Society or the Alberta Children's Hospital.
Cremation arrangements by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes.
