Passing of Sgt. Stuart Logan #4350 CPS

Re: Funeral service details for Sgt. Stuart Logan #4350

Funeral arrangements have now been confirmed for Sergeant Stuart Logan #4350. As outlined in APM #093, Sgt. Logan passed away of natural causes on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.

A funeral service will be held at the First Alliance Church, located at 12345 40 St. S.E., on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, at 2 p.m. At approximately 2:50 p.m., members will line the route of Skye Boat’s departure.

A reception will be held following the funeral service at the Cuff N’ Billy, located at 3730 Westwinds Dr. N.E.

Prior to the service, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., there will be an opportunity for colleagues and friends to pay their respects. The casket will be closed during this period.

CPS members attending are asked to wear one of the following forms of dress:

• Number 1 dress uniform, with full-sized medals, black leather gloves and forage cap

• Number 2 long-sleeve uniform, with tie and forage cap

• Business attire

A memorial register has also been placed outside of the Constable Arthur Duncan Memorial Hall for members to sign.

In response to a number of requests from members to donate to Stuart’s family, a CPS Legacy Place Benevolence Fund has been established. This fund will assist the family with out-of-pocket and other expenses.

Sworn and civilian members can contribute to the benevolence fund through any of the following methods:

1. Donating hours from their extra time or court time bank by filling out the attached form and submitting it electronically or through internal mail to Sgt. Paul Hardy #4549, mail code #760. All forms must be submitted by Nov. 30, 2019.

2. Sending an e-transfer to info@legacyplacesociety.com Please include a note directing the donation to the family of Stuart Logan in the message, as well as the full name of the donor and mailing address to receive a tax receipt.
