Hello,

Sergeant John Grillone #4149 is the Peer Support Coordinator for the CPS and has taken us under his wing; he’s very keen to support us in our needs.

He has provided two links which offer tools, strategies, and community to help us manage fears and worries and find some balance amidst all of the chaos many of us are experiencing.

The focus is on self-care for the caregivers (how parents, guardians, and first responders can take care of themselves while taking care of others) and provide strategies to help children manage their own stresses and worries.

Another is to weekly webinars in which Nicole Libin, Ph.D. will discuss strategies for first responders, parents, and anyone else struggling to manage in these most uncertain times.

Dr. Nicole Libin brings great passion, experience, and delight to her teaching, seeking to inspire students to find their own paths and trust their own wisdom.

She is an adjunct professor of Religious Studies and General Education and incorporates mindfulness as both a pedagogical and a contemplative tool in all of her post-secondary classes. Outside of the university, Nicole is also a mindfulness educator and coach for adults, adolescents, and children and is a children’s book author.
