Passing of Brook Williams 
June 9, 1949 - December 4, 2022

Brook Williams, beloved husband of Elisabeth, and retired Calgary Police Officer passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the age of 73 years surrounded by family. He lived a long full life and was loved and respected by his extended family and friends. 

Brook proudly served as a member of the Calgary Police Service until retirement. He took his responsibilities very seriously and was very protective of his family and friends. His time as a “beat cop” was what led to his meeting of the love of his life Elisabeth (Liz) Liz was working at the Grand Theatre in downtown Calgary when Brook strolled in. After many twists and turns, Brook and Liz married and spent the next 37 years together. 

He had many passions including watching NFL football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, gardening in the summer and listening to music. One of his favourite activities was hosting their annual Super Bowl parties. He was kind, honourable, quick-witted, the consummate storyteller, caring, generous, fiercely intelligent, and devoted to family.

Brook is survived by his wife Elisabeth, son Mason (Pam) and grandchildren Elsye and Caiya; his brother Trevor Williams (Eleanor) and nephew Bryce Williams (Heather). 

A private family service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the doctors, managers, nurses and resident care partners at Southwood Hospice.
