PASSING OF DAVE PAUL
June 15, 1939 – Innisfail, Alberta
March 2, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta
Dave Paul, beloved husband of Margaret Paul (nee Blumberg), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
In his youth Dave was in the Reserve Army, and after completing grade eleven, Dave started on his working career. Dave first started his career in the Financial Industry at the Alberta Treasury Branch, after which he moved on to working for the Alberta Provincial Government within the Calgary Provincial Court Systems. Dave worked for the Alberta Government for thirty-five years, leaving for short periods to experience living and working in Whitehorse. Never one to stop working, upon his retirement from the Government, Dave took part time jobs at Husky and Revy (Rona).
Dave was a member of the Calgary Police Veterans Association and the RCMP Veterans Association.
Dave enjoyed hunting, motor biking, and bowling. One of Dave’s passions was curling, either participating in, watching on TV, or attending the Brier.
Dave’s favourite vacations were piling his family in the motor home and heading off camping.
In addition to his wife Margaret of forty-two years, Dave is survived by his blended family, sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Carol, Darcy and Dawn, David; daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna, Sandi and Steve, Deidre, Debbi and Sean, Chrisi and Sean; grandchildren, Andrea, Danielle, Robyn, Jillian, Ryanne, Mandy, Tasia, Andrew, Helena, Emily, Mason, Tristan, Ainsley, Amelia, Haezel; and ten great-grandchildren. Dave is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene and Erv, Agnes and Grant; and brothers, Harry and Rick.
