Hello everyone,
 
Funeral arrangements for our friend and brother, Mayne Root, have been finalized:
 
A Public Viewing will be held on Monday, December 4th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Pierson’s Funeral Home (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary).
 
Then, A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – California Blvd Chapel (7017 California Boulevard NE, Calgary) on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11:00 am with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
 
I received permission for CPVA members to email condolences and memories we may have with Mayne to his daughter, Tina Hornberger. Her email is: thornberger78@gmail.com 

Mayne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Lynn; four children, Lisa Root (Grant), Tina Hornberger (Doug), Becky Walker (Jeff) and David Root (Marysol).

Passing of Mayne Richard Root #2198

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you all that our friend and brother, Mayne Root passed away suddenly yesterday, November 29. 2023 at the age of 73.  Mayne was one of those guys that everyone loved to be around as his upbeat and positive personality was so contagious.

He was just at our October Luncheon and I am so happy I was able to say hi and chat for a few minutes.

I have not yet spoken to his wife, Rose Lynn. When I have more information about any funeral arrangements and contact information that you can send condolences to, I will let you know.
