January 29, 1948 ~ June 23, 2020 (age 72)

Peter Harold Boyle passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord on June 23, 2020.

Born in Edmonton on January 29, 1948, Pete lived in Red Lake, ON, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Kamloops, BC. The family moved to various places for their father’s work, but finally came to Calgary where Pete attended St. Mary’s High School and took summer jobs with Hamilton-Olson Survey where he worked throughout Alberta as a Land Surveyor. Pete attended Vancouver College for 2 years before joining the Calgary Police Service. He loved his police career and the camaraderie of the fellow officers.

As an avid outdoors-man, Pete’s passion was pheasant hunting and later fishing at White Swan Lake and Bamfield, BC. As an entrepreneur Pete built acreage estate homes and started a rototiller business.

He leaves behind his loving wife Donna; two sisters, Catherine of Mercer Island, WA and Patricia of County Cork, Ireland; two brothers, Mark of Ontario and Gerry of County Cork, Ireland; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Ireland and Canada. He was predeceased by his parents Michael Boyle and Joan (Boyle) O’Sullivan, and his stepfather Dr. Dermot O’Sullivan.

Pete had a great sense of humour, was loyal, quiet, and caring with sincere honesty and integrity. He will be dearly missed.

At Peter’s request, no service will be held.

He will be interred in the family plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery located on the west side of Macleod Trail at Erlton Street X 32 Avenue S.W.
