I regret to inform the membership of the passing of our friend and brother, Ron Reed. Ron had been residing at the Bethany Riverview Care Centre since October of last year after he suffered a stroke. Yesterday morning, March 7, 2023, Ron passed away.
Ron was a great handy-man especially when it came to carpentry. He and his wife, Darlene, were avid Snow Birds and spent about 15 years spending the Winters in Yuma Arizona along with many friends also retired from CPS. They owned a cabin in Windermere where they spent Summers alongside other Vets like Ernie Reimer and Larry Synott who owned cabins nearby. Ron was very social and had a terrific sense of humour. He enjoyed attending Veteran Luncheons and connecting with his old friends from The Job.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Darlene as well as his daughter, Rhonda and his son, Craig. If you would like to send your thoughts of support and condolence, please email Darlene at reedron@shaw.ca
