Your Retire Alberta Team:

1. Shannon Magotiaux, am a plan administrator for Retire Alberta. I started in this position when the group was formed in 2014 and have been with this group as it transitioned from a plan created for retired Calgary firefighters to today where it welcomes members from a broad spectrum of different occupations.
I started my career as a receptionist in the insurance industry and am now dedicated strictly to the Retire Alberta plan and helping it grow.
The opportunity to work directly for Retire Alberta has allowed me to move back to a small town in Saskatchewan to work from home and have more family time.
I have enjoyed working with everyone I have met through Retire Alberta over the years and hope to continue for many more years with this group to watch it grow.

2. Doug Chern, am a retired Calgary firefighter and grampa and have always had an interest in benefits and pensions. When the retired firefighters were looking for a benefit plan after age 65, I created one and the popularity of the plan allowed it to grow to what it is today.
I enjoy talking with the members and finding the connections, whether it was through work, hockey, or my hometown of Smoky Lake. Alberta. Conversations are always interesting and it feels good to give back and create something positive for the retirees.
I am a mediocre golfer but always willing to go and will gladly join your coffee group to meet you all.
I love to travel, try and stay fit, and attempt to keep up with all the new options and opportunities for this plan and the members.
