Your Favorite Photo of You
Hello everyone,
I know that thinking about planning your final service or celebration of life is not on top of your list of things to do. Too often though, the details are left to the loved ones you leave behind. If no prior arrangements have been made, decision making just adds to the grief and stress. As you know, from time to time, I fan out to the membership a list of things to do prior to death as well as a list of phone numbers that will come in handy for your family afterwards. This is called the End of Life document. I also fan out a list of what the CPS offers our retired members after they pass away. This document is called A Message from Sgt. Rogers.
The team of CPS Funeral Coordinators have identified one clear area that is time consuming to prepare and often very difficult for the surviving family to deal with shortly after the passing of a loved one. This is the photograph of you to be placed in a very nice frame with the CPS crest on the frame. The RSM as well as the other coordinators asked that I let you know that there is now a special area within the CPS computer system to store a photo that you select of yourself to be used when the time comes. This will help out your loved ones you leave behind.
In order to get that photo to them, you will need to send it to:

Include your full name and contact information of your NOK. You may not have a scanner or know how to use one, that’s fine, you can go to many shops like Staples and they will assist you.

and explain that you have a photo of yourself and need assistance getting it to them. Someone there will let you know what to do. Remember, the higher the resolution of the photo, the better.
