Hank Jackson Reg #1028 is turning 105! As with all our fan outs, they must not be reposted on any Social Media sites. They are intended exclusively for the membership of the CPVA as personal information is included. The CPVA is not affiliated in any way with FaceBook. Henry “Hank” Jackson, is celebrating his 105 th birthday on January 29th, 2026. Hank is our most Senior CPVA Veteran and he is also a well decorated WWII Veteran who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a rear gunner in a Halifax Bomber from 1943 to 1944, flying 34 successful missions over Germany. No small feat, as very few survived even close to that many missions. After WWII, Hank joined the CPS and served 35 years retiring as a Staff Sergeant. For several years now, members of the CPVA as well as serving members of the CPS have mailed birthday cards to Hank letting him know how much he means to all of us and that his service in CPS and in WWII is remembered and honoured. Hank has told me that he tries to reply to everyone who sends him a card, but the number he receives makes that a difficult task. He is although, very moved by the sheer number of birthday wishes he receives from his Police Family. Hank has not yet found a compelling reason to become computer friendly, so email cards won’t cut it. I encourage all of you to go out and pick up a birthday card and mail it to Hank. Hank has a Cop and a Soldier’s sense of humor and loves a good laugh. Here is the address to mail Hank’s birthday cards to: Henry “Hank” Jackson c/o Carewest Colonel Belcher Retirement Residence 1939 Veteran's Way NW Calgary, AB.
