Passing of Robert (Bob) Christensen #1402 As with all of our fan outs, the following CPVA fan out contains personal material that is intended solely for members of the CPVA and must not be posted on any Social Media site. Thank you. Sadley, I have learned that our friend and brother, Bob Christensen, passed away at the age of 78 on Saturday, June 27, 2026 after a long struggle with an aortic artery issue. Bob joined CPS in 1969 and retired as a Staff Sergeant in 2002. Bob spent a great deal of his service in the Communications Section where he was an original member of the Computer Aided Dispatch Team when it was formed in 1979. In 1981, he became the full-time Project Leader, a role he held until the project’s completion in 1988. He played a key role throughout the development, design, implementation, and testing phases. His efforts, along with those of the team, led to the creation of a user-friendly CAD system that the supplier recognized as a model to follow. In recognition of his contributions, he received a Deputy Chief’s Commendation. Bob was predeceased by his wife Doreen, but he leaves behind a son, Scott and a daughter, Cindy. He also leaves behind two granddaughters and one grandson. If you would like to reach out to Bob’s family with words of support, you can do so by emailing his son, Scott at: schristensen4521@gmail.com When services are arranged for Bob, I will pass that information on to you all.
